Our Philosophy
Respect. We hope that this is the first word that comes to mind when you think of bioghetto.com wines. Of course, we also hope that words like “fresh like a spring morning”, “tastes great” and “I have to get more” come to mind as well. Nevertheless, for us, respect is as much a way of life as it is everything we believe a wine should have for the person who drinks it.
This commitment has a significant advantage – one that is tangible when you pour a glass of our wine. Only through the high quality of our grapes and the irreproachable care that is taken in every stage of wine producing process can this, become a reality. We select our partners according to these discerning criteria. All of our grapes come from a 30 square kilometer radius of our bottling facility. The techniques used in making the organic wines we choose respect the earth’s biodiversity and ecosystem, and exclude any chemicals of synthesis (weed killers, insecticides or molecules of synthesis). We are the largest supplier of organic wines in France and are very proud of this fact!
So, why did we create our vineyard here in the Languedoc Roussillon region of the South of France? Quite simply, this area was made to grow wine. By that we mean that it was made to grow wine using the organic techniques that we feel not only produces a quality wine, but is also good for your health and that of the environments as well. The combination of the climate and Terroir found here is unlike anywhere else in the world. We were not the first ones to think so. Some of the oldest vines in France can be found in this region, ones that date back several thousand years to when the Greeks and Romans lived here.
